Marching on a Full Stomach

Shock set in as the spotlight revealed how much food was being devoured daily by the blob - extra toast first thing (lots of butter), mid-morning snacks (usually cheese and bread), huge lunch (at least four slices of bread stuffed with cheese or meat, or both, plus plenty of mayo), and that was only the start.
Snacks followed around three o’clock with more just after four when the teenager returned. Then it was nibbling through the cooking schedule - good munch while preparing tea for the teenager (and leftovers). Time to rustle up dinner to share with always-working-late wonder woman (tasting, sample or two while waiting, tidying up leftovers).
Okay, not every day was quite that bad but it was a lot of food, even if most of it was good food. Which is why, after slightly more than a week of the War on Waist, the blob has lost a few ounces short of one stone.
Weight rolled off as the blob tumbled from the top of the fat mountain, helped by more walking and parkrun number two (still a parkwalk but a few minutes faster - less slow).
